The reverse osmosis membrane is the most important filter in your Quella Life or Quella Pro and is responsible for producing reverse osmosis water. Your device will automatically remind you to change the membrane when the water quality falls below a certain level. Depending on usage, this will occur after approximately 12 months . In this case, we recommend that you replace the membrane as soon as possible, as otherwise contaminants can enter your reverse osmosis water and the device itself.

The membrane uses a fine, laser-cut polymer film through which tap water is forced under high pressure. Thanks to the extremely fine filtration of 0.0001 microns, even nanoparticles such as drug residues or pesticides are trapped in the membrane. In addition, the water is simultaneously and completely softened, resulting in gentler use of your kitchen appliances. The membrane is continuously rinsed to ensure consistently high water quality.
